The yellow public comment cards will not be located in Chambers on December 5, 2023. You will find a table in the City Hall lobby with a stack of NUMBERED cards. Please fill your card out and KEEP WITH YOU. The City Clerk will not be calling names, rather, she will be calling numbers to come and form a line in Chambers. It is important that you keep your card and remember your number to line up for public comment. City Clerk LaRowe will call 18 people at a time, and you will hand your card to her prior to speaking for comment.
Once you are at the podium, please make sure you state your name, address, and that you have been sworn as this is a quasi-judicial hearing -- Mrs. LaRowe will ensure members of the public are sworn once inside Chambers.
There will be seating available to the public in Chambers, outside in the parking lot (weather permitting) and in the upstairs of City Hall. You must maintain decorum so that you can hear your number called. The City Clerk will make sure that there is enough time for any member of the public not seated in Chambers to come inside and form a line; staff will be located throughout City Hall to help.
Anyone who has filled out a speaker card online, will be called first, by name, prior to the numbered cards being called. Please pay attention to hear names, as the City Clerk will call names 5 at a time, if online cards have been submitted. Online commenting will no longer be accepted after 12:00 p.m. (noon) on December 5th. Once you have submitted your card, the Clerk's Office will send a confirmation email; if you do not receive a confirmation email, that means your card was submitted after the 12:00 p.m. (noon) deadline.
