Animals at the Beach

The feeding of wild birds on public streets, sidewalks, rights-of-way, parks or beaches is prohibited.

There is a dog-friendly beach area on the Bay side at the end of Pass-a-Grille Way between 1st and 3rd Avenues where dogs can run in the sand and surf. With the exception of this one area, dogs are prohibited from being taken on any sand beach or beach access. 

All dogs that are kept in or enter the city shall be kept and held on a leash of any substantial material and of a maximum length of eight feet at all times while the dog is off the property or premises where it is normally kept.

Owners must clean up after their dogs.
